Thoughts on this image...obvousely its quite a bit larger 12"x45" but I would like some oponions as to what to do to make it look a little nicer!

it came out good. I like the flow to it.

The flow is fantastic.

The color doesn't seem to pop but that could be my monitor and I can't offer any real advice on how to fix that

I think its a good photo though.

I think that by boosting your contrast, and doing some minor curves adjustments you could really make this picture "pop". You already have a great flow, and a really interesting subject, you just need those colors to stand out, and get that 'wow' effect. Great job so far!

I think its really a great shot and nothing needs to be done.......

But if you can't help yourself from tinkering I had an idea. All the tow wires are going to one side (the dudes right, image left) which sort of disturbs the symmetry of the image, if you could have them all going towards the center of the image, i think it would pull the viewer in a little more.

Its could be a lot of work for something very subtle that most people won't notice though, but like I said its great just how it is.

Thanks for all the great ideas...I hopefully will have more time tomorrow to work on this image....these were from his senior photo session, so I have alot of other photos to edit as well :)

I think I'd create a couple of layers in PS, mask out the wakeboarder and change the curves to darken the background, it just looks a little washed out. You'll probably have to desaturate the blue channel for the water because the curves edit might make it a little too blue. Other than that, its a great shot.

I have to agree with the general consensus here in that the image needs more "pop". The greens in the water and especially the trees in the background look way under saturated. The shot really needs more color. Also, while it's a bit hard to tell from the smaller size here, I think I would add a little more sharpening too...a little extra USM.

Just my $.02 worth,
Jim

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the stitching artifacts so I will... you have stitching artifacts on the left and right of the boarder 3rd from the left. Adding "pop" to the image may bring those out even more so be sure to go over the area with some cloning/patching.
