I'm ready to purchase my new 20D body. Where is a good place to get it? I do alot on B&H just wondering if there is anywhere else that is better/cheaper?

You may want to check the "recomended vendors" thread in the Marketplace forum.

Don't even mess around. Go to B&H. I find their prices reasonable, their selection/stock the best, but their reputation and all my experiences with them has been great. I don't like rolling the dice on camera vendors.

Ditto on B & H. But be careful with their wish list. You tend to make up this fantasy list and then one day you wake up having dreamed that you put items in your cart. Then 3 days later they arrive at your door. I love it!

Congrats on your purchases. I get EVERYTHING related to photography from BH photo/video. They always have the items in stock. They get shipped out the same day and arrive at my door in 3 days. Everything comes brand new with all included accessories. No bait and switch or missing items. And their no-hassle return policy is great. The way I see it, if you're spending thousands of dollars for camera equipment why gamble with other online vendors to save a small amount of money.

B&H is pretty hard to beat, and there security is pretty good to which I just found ou the hard way. I ordered a DRebel online yesterday, and when I filled out the ship to address I used my work address since I'm not home to recieve UPS pagaakges duing the day but I put my unlisted phone number in stead of the # at work. So when I got home today insteat of an email witht he tracking number I had an email saying:
Please be advised that your order cannot be processed due to
the following reason(s):
Unverifiable Address:
As our research indicates that your order is to be shipped to
an address with a NON LISTED/UN-PUBLISHED phone number,
we kindly request that you Fax or E-mail a scanned image of a
Phone Bill, Utility Bill or Drivers License showing the Shipping Address.
If the Shipping Address DOES have a LISTED/PUBLISHED phone number,
please provide us with that information.
Please follow the above procedures so that we can complete this transaction.
So tomorrow I guess I'll have to call them and find out what I need to fax since it's my work address and not my address. But it's good that they verify that stuff and don't just ship it since it's paid for. And I can't really complain since I am the one that made the mistake.

Well, it's too late now, but I would have recommended digitalfotoclub.com. Great reseller ratings. I had a fantastic experience with them. No hassle, great service, love my camera. And the price was the lowest I could find *in stock*.

RE: B&H Security
You ought to try getting something shipped to you while away from home! I have tried Hotels and Fed Ex offices with no luck. They will ship to a business or home other than yours if you place your order by phone and change your ship to for a few days.
I just got something sent to me at a long lost Niece's home. I renewed old acquaintances, got my stuff and feel that B&H is protecting me on top of it all.
