Similar to how some car manufacturers turn to eastern europe to assemble their cars, canon is going to outsource their camera manufacturing.
I present to you the russian assembled 1V HS:

As you can see, the styling is retained. The top plate has typical shapes of canon 1 series. As far as I know, the technological limitations didn't allow the autofocus system to be installed and the camera now has unlimited fps, limited by the speed of your thumb.
