Hey- Maybe someone can help me with a problem I just developed... I had to perform a full reinstallation of my Vista 32b software as I screwed up my registery. I made sure to install all the updates to Vista after the reinstall. Everything seems to be running ok except for one minor issue that is really bugging me. Whenever I transfer my RAW files taken on my 5D to my computer, Vista cannot recognize the RAW file and it can't be viewed as a thumbnail let alone opened with Photo Gallery... Before I had to do the reinstall I was able to sift through my folders and view the thumbnail RAW files. I checked my Windows updates, and also verified I installed all the latest drivers form the canoneos website. Can anyone help me as to what I'm doing wrong???
Thanks!

Try going to the Microsoft website and getting the RAW viewer software. There is one there for XP which I have, there has to be one for Vista as I did a quick google search and saw some stories on it, but did not find a download for it.

Just double checking here... are you sure that you installed the latest Canon RAW Codec (http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0029159.asp?model=)?
Also, when you get everything firing on all cylinders again... I heartily recommend Image for Windows (IFW) (http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/index.htm) or something similar so that you don't have to start from scratch again. Ever.
