Lynyrd Skynyrd @ Chumash Casino Resort, July 17, 2008

I am not a Rocker! I wore earplugs for all of this performance that I watched. I am not really a "music person" even though I make good money shooting concerts. But this has turned out to be the third best photographic adventure I've had in about 150+ concerts behind KISS and Paulina Rubio (if you haven't seen my Paulina Rubio stuff it's worth a search!) My website gallery has 30 images from this concert and I think every one is worth seeing and if you are a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan then it is a must see ... geez, this is the second thread I've started today that where I suggest it is worthwhile to see the whole gallery ... oh, well, I am old!

#4 is OOF
5 is a weird crop....think theres too much space above the hat.
6 shows no face. I dont care, but i always read that if there's no face, it "could be anyone"
7 head space again- would prob require a non-standard crop to get rid of though.

I think you probably do what I do for the closeups-- I tend to leave too much space above the head since im hitting the focus on the mouth/nose

#4 is OOF ... and I am surprised ... I think it is a mis-selection on my part and then I didn't notice 'cause I was sipping gin and tonic ... hmmm, perhaps that's why they all looked so good to me! :-) And now I don't know why I didn't cull that one on the first, sober, pass.

#5 is a bit of a strange crop with lots of space above ... it appeals to me.

#6 does show a slice of face with an eye and lips and chin although they do blend with the hair. But, point taken, and I have them with lots of face and no face in my gallery ... unless that's just a drunk memory, sigh.

#7 also looks a tad OOF but I think that's just the compression ... oh, the crop ... yes, I must have just liked the dead space at crop time ... perhaps I had a small stroke ... but I'm actually OK with not doing everything exactly "normal" sometimes. I like the feel of this one.

Well, I'll have to adjust my PP timing not to coincide with my drinking. They certainly looked a lot better yesterday!

Burton Cummings is playing in Victoria for a 150th Bday B.C. Bash tomorrow..Sara Mclaughlin,Fiest, and a whole lot more....would go, but it will be a nightmare crowd and traffic wise.:(

Lol..it wouldn't have....but the crowds now are not the same as the 70's....its on Parliment Hill.no elbow room, no picnics like there used to be.just sardines in a can.....
