Hi

I've just got a new 10D with 2 lenses. I think that I should be protecting the lenses with filters so have looked through various types and makes.
Are Canon filters worth 3 x those produced by Hoya?
Which filters do people have and use most?

Thanks in advance.

I recommend Hoya Pro1 UV(0) or Skylight 1B Filters to protect your lenses. I have UV(0)'s on all mine. The cost a bit more than the standard or HMC ones, but they are very thin (3mm), have a front thread and let 99.7% of light in. I'm not sure about the 10D, but for the 20D an UV(0) is better than a Skylight 1B, as the 20D tends to provide slightly warm pictures with WB on auto already.
