Ok everyone,

I have put aside $450 to spend on a new monitor, and I wanted the Biggest monitor (no less than 21in), sharpest monitor i can buy for this. This will be used strictly for image / print editing, so color/pop/sharpness is of key importance.

(I tried this in marketplace and received nothing, so I guess it was posted to wrong place.)

I was looking at either of these.

DOes anything stick out to you that would be a no-no as far as image editing for either of those? i know the 2nd one is HD, is that good / bad for editing?

At your mercy

Have looked at a few here. Will be waiting for the experts to comment on this also. Working on a very old CRT here. About ready to step into the present.

I have the Samsung 245BW. It's the best LCD out of the 5 monitors I have around the house. The text is sharp, image quality and color is great. For photo editing, it's the closest thing compared my Sony 22" 90 lbs CRT that I finally gave up on.

I love my 245BW, but I think it exaggerates reds too easily. I'm finding flesh tones when watching videos a little too pinkish if I don't do any adjustments. Otherwise it's an awesome monitor, even for my Wii. You can really have a crapload of stuff on the monitor. I'm thinking of getting a second one, or at least another Samsung monitor so I can keep still watch stuff while working(I don't have a TV, so I usually just open up a corner of the screen for VLC). I've run out of space on my desk though, Lamp, LCD, and headphone amp/headphone stand :\

*Since I mostly use my headphones, and can't play my music loud enough to bother the other tennants, I replaced the Marantz stuff with an iPod Hi-Fi, and I've got a second side desk taht houses my scanner.
