Canon 300D Raw deal [Archive] - Canon Digital Photography Forums

Hi,
working with a Canon Digital Rebel (EOS300D) and trying to open RAW files in photoshop 7.0.1 on my mac OS 10.x.x. Have not been able to open this format in photoshop. Does anyone know why this is? Have tried converting, saving etc to HD or right from CF card with no luck. Please help! About ready to take out the 10 LB sledge hammer, er I mean pursuader!:evil:

Photoshop 7 will not recognize RAW files. At one time Adobe sold a plugin for v. 7, but I believe it was pulled when they released CS. You will need to upgrade to CS or get Elements 3 or some other RAW converter. (Phaseone, bibble, etc.) Or use the Canon software that came with your camera... The latest version, Digital Photo Professional can be downloaded from Canon's websites.
