I realize the answer to this is probably staring me in the face but, if so, it's not readily apparent.
In my film camera days, the first thing I would do after the negatives were dry (any format) would be to make contact sheets to use for a variety of purposes. I would like to be able to do the equivalent thing with digital images.
In the case of 35mm, I would print six strips of six images each on an 8X10 sheet of paper, yielding a contact sheet of 36 images.
Is there a convenient way of doing this with digital images - - say on a 8.5 by 11 sheet? I would not be concerned about "final" exposure or color balance of the images - - I just want a catalog of the content of the images.
I am using Photoshop CS. I am far from an expert with that program. I don't know if it has that native ability or whether some other program might be more suitable for this task. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
