Thanks for posting the settings.
I don't know how sharp or not that lens might be but considering the image is compressed for the web the original must be SHARP.
I've tried and I know it's not easy to get a sharp pic of a bird in flight, especially the wings.
I'm no expert but I'm impressed.

Great shot the lens looks fine to me still you must have been pretty close at 300mm
