As stated above, are they good? I want to order one this weekend and want to make sure about it. Thanks.

you have to ask? , I have the 50mm f/1.8, but the 1.4 is incredibly sharp, very good bokeh ( due to the 9 aperture blades instead of 5 ). And focus is quite fast due to the USM.

They are very good - Photodo gives this lens a score of 4.4 (see here (http://www.photodo.com/prod/lens/canon.shtml)). There aren't many other lenses on that page which can match that result. Get it, you won't be dissapointed.

This is the only lens i´ve kept since i sold all my lenses along with my 10D
It now fits on my 1Ds2 and it still performs nicely. A wee bit slow for a prime, but second-to-none in the 50´s department. On a 1.6 cropped camera this lens is awesome - eq. to approx 85 mm/1.4
Back in the ol´ days a 85/1.4 was very expensive - and still is - you´re "practically" given it for free ;-)
Well - almost right here - still its a 50 - but gives the 80mm images.
A must buy

Retro, as you've already got the 50 f/1.8 in your gear list, you might find this comparison interesting:
