I am working my way through the manual for my recently purchased 300D/DRebel.

On Page 60 of the manual - headed "INFO.Checking Camera Settings" is shown the camera setting information that is available 'when the camera is ready to shoot'.

When I press the INFO button only part of the information is displayed - the following are missing:confused: :-

AEB
WB-BKT
Parameters
This (file://\this) information is not exactly critical to me - but I am concerned that the camera is not - in this respect anyway - performing as it should.

Can anyone explain this please?

I think this is because the camera is set to the Basic Zone, and needs to be in the Creativer Zone for these functions to work. See page 122 of the manual.

Many thanks Steve - my problem (rather than the camera's:o ) has been solved:D

What a marvellous Forum this is - I'm very thankful that I discovered it : its definitely 'Number 1' as far as I'm concerned, thanks to helpful and knowledgeable members like you.

Thanks again.....

Denis

I've had mine nearly 12 months now, and need to keep referring to the manual occasionally (mainly to see what I did wrong :-)). Its a pity I couldn't carry this forum around though. It's definitely a very informative forum. Thanks to this forum I now know what poutine is :-).

Colliewalker1: very useful intro to the camera for us newcomers (small Flash movies - 25 lessons in all):
