What'd they look like before HDR?? I'd guess better... They look really soft

A bit overdone for me, too. And look at the crops in this: Try to leave more room at the front for it to "move into": MOVE YOUR FEET! A <rant> of sorts. (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=536323)

Well I only do this as a hobby mainly and have just started trying out the HDR stuff so I'm open to tips and pointers. Here are 2 of the originals. The lighting kinda sucks because we were trying to get the photos in right before a monsoon hit but it was a great location.
