Short Cybersync report.

Completely unscientific report. Got mine yesterday.
Test #1 Waited until dark. Put flash on light stand inside my house in the hall pointed toward outside window. Went outside and walked to fence. About 100 ft from house flash wouldn't fire. :( Imagine that through outside brick wall and 2 inside walls. Moved up to 60 ft. Flash fired every time. :D

Test #2. Inside house back bedroom from living room through 5 walls. flash fired every time...:D

I think we have a winner.

Unscientific perhaps - real world for sure. I thought for a minute you were reporting on my testing. 430EX in bedroom upstairs back of the house, camera across the road - it fired. Inside walls do not appear to be a big issue so far. I like them. They are small and appear to be quite effective.

Now if FlashZebra would get the hotshoe/cable units back in stock I would be set...

Or is the hotshoe w/pc connector a common unit?

where would you need to fire THRU walls?

the only example I can think of if you set up an AB1600 or 2 next to the fridge. lay in bed with the transmitter and at 2AM when the wife goes to get into the fridge for a snack .... hit the test button and giggle to yourself as she screams and blindly runs into the wall.

any other ideas?

Adding to original post - they look and feel really well built and not having the lock ring on the transmitter really doesn't present a problem as it really locks in place well, at least when new. Time will tell on how long it stays tight. Another cool feature if you ever needed additional range is being able to set one receiver as a repeater to double the range.. It will lower sync speed to half 1/2000 from 1/4000 I believe is the figure in the instructions.

For us mortal 1/250 shooters shouldn't be a problem.
