But it's working... :) Just got a confirmation for the following:

1 of Canon 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens
1 of Canon Lens Hood EW-60C for EF 28-80, EF 28-90, EFS 18-55
1 of Savage Economy Background Stand
1 of Canon ET60 Lens Hood for EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 SLR Lens
1 of Canon BGE1 Battery Grip for use with the Digital Rebel
1 of Canon 100DG Bag for Canon SLR Cameras
1 of Paterson InterFit Duo-Tone Blue Muslin Background Cloth, 8' x 9'

Now I can't wait to get my goodies and start playing....

But let me tell ya, make an Amazon wish list and let you SO know about it... :)

Now I just have to find out what she wants... cause everyone knows, nothing is free...

That's the key right there. You may be paying for it for some time to come. In the end, it should be worth it.

Congrats!

My wife just had cataract surgery earlier this week. The cost? about the same as a 1D MkII. Since I already have one of those, I'll wait for her to have the second eye done and then start campaigning for a 1Ds MkII.

Now some of you are probably thinking, "That isn't fair. She needed that surgery."

True enough. I need a 1Ds MkII.

belmondo, you're absolutely correct. Your wife needed the surgery to "see" the world clearly. You are a photographer, and as an artist you need the best camera possible to "see" the world artistically.

I just got the bill for having the baby and a subsequent hopitalization of my wife. $60,000 - Imagine what I could have bought!

From a recent post about Canon lens cost, $60K is enough to buy every Canon lens except for the 1200mm.

If you had the baby, you should be able to get at least that back from the National Enquirer or Star. Especially if you have pictures! :{)#
