i was stood up with out a tripod,i held the leaf with my left index finger and thumb and i could then rest the end the my lens on to the top of my left hand hand,i can then slide the lens back and forth untill the subject comes in to focus,This allowed me to shoot stood up on a windy day with out a tripod. You have to have a coroptive subject tho..After i took this shot the butterfly flew away.if it didnt i could of got a 5:1 shot on a windy day ;)

yer..using the "hold the leaf method" its very easy..can only be done tho if your using something like 50mm or 60mm macro lens.your almost touching the subject so u can hold the leaf its on and rest your lens on it.,,i shoot alot like this.very good for windy days..while people using a 150mm macro lens are stuck in doors because its to windy for them im out shooting:)thats 1 of the advantages to using mpe-65:)
