Realistically I dont really have my hopes up, Canon has been INSANE about security. Non-disclosures, loose lips sink ships talk, etc. If I can I will, but I could be just as surprised as the rest of you which would be cool I think.

What the Swedish page says is that they have been called to a press conference at Canon on the 26'th and there will be a presentation of an EOS camera. The rest on the page is comments and questions from others. It does not say if it's the 5D successor or something else that will be shown.

The source is the chief editor of a photo mag and very credible, couldn't afford to bull**** us subscribers of the magazine.

If there's a trade and press announcement on the 26th then the world will know on the 26th. That's exactly what manufacturers want - whip up interest prior to release.

Ha, yeah right... not going to happen my friend. Whatever is announced will be all that will likely be released until PMA in 2009. I really don't think the 40D will be replaced until PMA at the earliest.

People too often let their own desires cloud when they think products will be released. Canon is a business and they know what they are doing... they aren't as nearly as desperate to release new gear as most gear freaks are to wnat to buy new gear, most with the desperate hope that a new piece of gear will make up for their lack of skill and artistic vision.
