Well, Monday was the first official day of Hot August Nights here in Reno, NV and thought I would throw up some of my pics from the happenings at the Atlantis.

Lead Sled that we found on our way out last night.. Hoping it's there this afternoon/evening so I can get some light shots. You cannot believe the beauty of that red.

#1: This shows how the subject can affect the exposure & why manual keeps me worry free:

Try manual in those tough conditions. First set the f-stop & shutter speed you need. Then adjust the ISO.
Need an exposure crutch? (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=89123)
#2: Good night shot. See how the cream at the bottom of the car is a bit dark? I'd lighten the whole car a bit.
Try a Layer Mask for easy local changes. Post #9:

i have a question for shot #2....
if you are using a flash, you cant really bounce it off of anything, since you are outside....
would direct flash be good? or should the flash still be angled up aiming above the car?

tomdlgns..... I think the best thing to do would to try bouncing it off the car next to it or off someone that was standing to my right side... However, these are NON-FLASH shots as all I have is the pop-up flash..
PhotosGuy... Thanks for the info!! I have some more from last night trying some different angles. I will post those as soon as I can.. Unfortunately the best lighting time is usually when it is the busiest so I have a hard time getting the shots I want..
Edit: Here is one from last night.. still looking through the images (again no PP)
