Anyone heard any rumors about them being incorporated into digital cameras? Here is an article from BBC news that explains a little about this new technology:

Well, maybe not 100% liquid, but I can imagine they will be the consistency of eyes in the future.

If your going to curve the sensor, then you'd need a new family of lenses designed explicitly for that sensor right?

Correct. Lenses are designed to project a flat image (or as close to flat as possible) since that has been the characteristic of film and now digital. A new system with curved sensors (providing they are easy to manufacture) might present some opportunities for lens designers though.

That's pretty darned cool. Gotta wonder what it'll end up being used for as far as the mass market goes...
