I have always used lens cleaning paper (Kodak). It is what I started with many years ago and I feel comfortable when I use it. Maybe it is the worst possible thing to clean my lens with, I don't know.

However, here in South Korea, they don't have it. I have spent hours walking around looking for it but all they have is these nice, soft, rags that my local Canon dealer swears are safe for any of my lenses, even the L's.

While I have found some comfort in cleaning the $100 UV filter on the L glass, I am out of the paper that I use and I can't bring myself to use an unfamiliar material to clean that beautiful glass. Sometimes I stare into my 70-200 2.8 and watch the beautiful rainbows of color come back to me (yes, I am bored).

What do I do, besides ordering something from America that will cost 40 times as much due to shipping.

Use that cloth with some warm breath and you'll be fine. Unless you're shooting in some horribly dirty/dusty conditions you should not have to clean your all that often...

I think it's safe to buy it from a dealer, they know how to make cleaning cloth for lens. They are good with fabrics, such as microfiber, they are one of the few country who has technology to make microfiber materials.
