Any lens designed for Canon EF mount will fit the 20D.
For macros you can't go wrong with the 100mm Macro that canon sells.

and don't forget the tamrom 90mm 2.8 macro. I uce this lens all the time , It's a great lens for macro work. I took this with the 90.mm

I've got the Sigma 105mm Macro and it's pretty darn nice, but I'd probably buy the Canon today, or the Tamron if I was low on cash.
Just make sure that it's a true Macro - some cameras get labeled with "macro" just because they can focus close. Make sure the specifications say "1:1" somewhere.
Also, short lenses, like 50mm, require you to get very close to the subject. 100mm or thereabouts is a good general-purpose length. The 150mm or 180mm macros are VERY nice - but expensive.

Standard reply. :) All Canon EF lenses work an all EOS Cameras. As the Canon 50, 100, and 180 Marcos are EF lenses they work on the Canon EOS 20D. As do the sigma and Tamron Macros.
Pretty simple really.
