I've been getting a lot of "connection refused" messages lately, and a few "server too busy" messages. Random times of day, but usually in the afternoon or night (Eastern US time).
Anyone else, or is it just me and my connection?

Iv had one, yesterday afternoon local time (I think Im about 19hours ahead of the US east coast).
(Im 12hours GMT)
The problem with being part of one of the best forums on the net is everyone else wants to part of it as well.
(I got a 2nd busy message posting this :( )

There is a 2-3 minute break 3 times a day because of automated database backup system. A moment ago we had two breaks in succession because I did one manually :)
Usually the reason to slowdown is like above. This server is so powerful it is unlikely that it could be brought down by even 2000 simultaneous forum users.

And a few moments ago I had about 5 "connection refused" messages in a row, so that explains it.
Thanks.

Are you sure it's not Belmondo playing tricks on you to slow you down in your race (of posts).

No, he simply deletes my posts every now and again, but he can't keep up with me. :-)
