Wish I could go but I'm doing that Workshop on the 16th and I don't want to leave my wife home with the dogs 2 days in a row. And I have a lot of yard work to do too.

Have fun and take lots of pictures!

Sorry can't make this one, I need this day for my keikis. I'm working 6 days a week this month and spent the last two weekends for photography. I did label this meet as XIII on the front page of the Hale.

Looks like this was a good Meet. Would you guys consider going here again in the future?

David, I looked at your Flickr page and really liked the shots of "Engine No. 12" and the "Ewa Yard".

I see Kaimana made it to the meet. Met him at the Photo Workshop on Saturday. Really nice guy. Glad he joined you guys.

Lightroom2. Almost all my color work is done there. Basically 100% fill light, heavy shadow, high vibrance, clarity, and high red channel.

Linkzi, do you create new catalogs for new batch of pix? I tried it, pretty cool feature.

Haven't tried that yet. Will it get confusing with many catalogs?

No actually, each catalog is "reloaded" everytime you load another one, so you only work on one catalog at a time, just a matter to save the catalog in a different folder in your computer and voila!

It is very convenient when you do multiple batches, don't need to import the folders every time. Once you are done with one, it is saved.

David and Lincoln, thanks!

Chris, all the PP was done with some Lightroom presets and adjusted to my "taste."
The bw conversion might be a good candidate for the Contest, but I have not yet put anything to it.

For the rusty train, the PP was overdone, lots of flaws in the process and it was done quick and dirty!

Thanks

Note: Those pix are from the 5D, I still have to process the one from the 1D. Today, I will be taking the 5D to Canon Service, shooting some pix at F22 shows some real nasty dust!!!

I like that sepia tone shot Norris. And is that Kaimana in the middle shot? Looks like his Nikon. And I wonder how old that ticket punch is? It looks way over-built...they don't make things like that anymore.

I was talking to Kaimana at the Photo Walk and he said he really enjoyed going to this meet and that he wouldn't mind going to Hawaiian Railway again soon. I'd like to go too. Any chance of doing another Meet there?

Thanks Chris,

The second shot is actually someone else with a Sony DSLR.

Kaimana mentioned about the '"revisited" railway next time, I am ok with it as long as I am still here.

You or Kaimana can start another thread for this type of mini meet.
