I created this logo in CS2 quick the other day. Do you think its too plain or okay to get the point across?

I believe that less is more - it's perfect, don't change a thing.

I think it's very clean and professional. The block name works well with "photography" in script.

However (and maybe it's just how my brain works) the dot in the middle makes me wonder if it's one person or two...

It does get the point across, what I'm not liking is the blue background. . .try something more transparent.

Well I made it a brush so I can change the color and opacity. What color do you think would work better?

I think it looks fine as it is. Basic logos for photography are a good idea as you want to concentrate attention towards the photographs themselves.

How about making the Teresa Randolph part stand on it's own and setting on a block of reversed type where it says photography. But maybe that's because it would then look more like mine...;)

A border or drop shadow is another possibility, something subtle to raise/separate it from the image a little maybe. I wouldn't suggest it's better. It's just another thought. Your lettering and stuff looks good though might be bottom weighted a little bit. It's really up to your style, but those are my thoughts. Cheers, Tim

It does get the point across, what I'm not liking is the blue background. . .try something more transparent.I think the color might always be a consideration based on what it's place on top of. The blue might be great on a blue sky, but less great on green grass or brown sand. Who's to say which is right in the end? Maybe neutral colors or white/black would go more universally with the letters taking on the chosen color... It does look good to me as a standalone logo though without mixing in the environmental aspects.
