What are you using to carry your cards in? I can't seem to find a nice inexpensive holder for my cards.

I don't remember why I bought it but I'm glad I did. Works pretty good though.

i use the little plastic containers they came in... no "holders" or "wallets" for me. I don't really need one.

i use the little plastic containers they came in... + a rubber band. The card wallets will eventually become dust holders & you know where it will end up, right? ;-)

I've been using the same thing. I've not used it long enough to know how it will hold up, but it sure feels solid. And I take comfort in knowing that I might lose all the gear in a river, and even drown myself, but at least the CF card will survive so that posterity will benefit from my images! :p

When I first started in digital (G2) I got a quad holder . . . for my 64, 96 and 128M cards. Now I just shoot with a 2G in the camera and a 'spare' 1G in the little holder in came in. Because I travel and live in a 'rough' farm/ranch type environment, I only carry my camera and the noted spare card with battery in my pocket. Thats it. On a shoot I take the bag and 'stuff' but for day to day I go light as I can. I want to become a photographer some day . . . not a pack animal.

I have two that are similar to Chris1le's. They are absolutely water and dirt resistant sealed and work great. Took one (less the cards of course) and threw it in a sink of water for about an hour and there wasn't a drop of moisture inside. Works great.

Don't ask how this happened... (o-kay I admit,. I forgot I ordered one)
But I actually have two.... I have the Gepe mentioned above,.. and I have one made by Hakuba.. also availble through B&H
Hakuba Case (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=240325&is=REG)
I like the Hakuba a littel more, thought they both have there advantages... it has very smooth rounded edges so if you are carrying it in your pocket it doesn't "bite". It also maneages to have a more substantial feel,. as well has having waht seems like a denser yet more shock absorbing "sorbathane" rubber for the liner.
the Gepe is not bad.. but it definatley has harder edges.
One of the pluses of the gepe is it will hold 4 CF cards AND 4 SD cards at the same time! :) So it is a naturla for the MkII owners.
The downside is that the Gepe cut out fo rthe CF cards is only "type1" thick... you can't put in 4 MD drives,.. or 2 MD drives and 2 CF cards for that matter :( It will not shut properly.
The Hakuba,. on the other hand accepts MD drives,. up to four,. no problem,. but has no cpacity for SD.
Being a MkII oener,. and finding myself with oth of these cases the choice was obvious!
Tear the rubber liner out of one half of the Gepe,. and cut it to fit in one half of the rounder nicer Hakuba case.
This way I can do 2 SD cards,. and either 40 CF or 2 CF and 2 MD :)
(In my mind nothing is perfect till I've "hacked" it  )

P.S.
All that aside,.
I would recomend the Hakuba over the Gepe for anyone using CF and or CF and MD
If you are however using CF and SD... then the Gepe is the obvious choice.

OfficeMax has an inexpensive leatherette business card case that holds four CF cards in their plastic cases.

I also use the 4 CF Hakuba case and have for several years. I have two and my wife has one. If I want to slip it into my back pocket I don't have to worry about breaking the CF cards if I sit on it (not that I do very often :D) and it can bounce around in my bad and I don't have to worry about the CF cards. It's easier and quicker to get into than the little plastic cases the CF cards come in and when I fill up a card I can put it back in face down (unused ones are always face up) and know not to use it again.
I just wish they would make cases for BP-511 batteries or at least the little plate that comes on the Canon ones. With 7 extra batteries in my case, I just know one of these days they are going to short together.

:D Then sell me the second half of each, and I'll manage to make one full case again from your pieces, I've got the same "vice" as yours!

I use a Lowepro memory card wallet. Keeps 'em snug and they were dirt cheap on eBay. I have two - one for the 20D, and one for the G2.

...lol, almost embarrased to admit it, but I've been using a $5 CF card wallet from WalMart for over a year now. I've taken it to 2 weddings, 2 portrait sessions, a sr. portrait session and all of my fun sessions and I have to say that I like it better than anything else I've tried. Its tough, but it is soft sided. Its the perfect size for a front pocket and for both of my bags, it holds 6 cards and its cheap! :o It is fabric inside and may end up collecting dust, but its usually closed so it hasn't been a problem.

The Tamrac Zoom 19 case has an attached zippered case that pulls out and contains 3 or 4 cards. Can't be detached and it is always there.

Me too! Actually, I think they're permanently in the camera, unless I'm transferring them to comp, in which case they're in the card reader lol.
1GB for my Drebel
256MB for my S230
Enough pics for me :D

I am using the card safe. It rugged as hell. I did not think I would like it at first. I had been carrying them in a soft velcro closure case that clipped to my belt. With the Card Safe, the cards are well secured. I numbered them 1 through 4 so I know which card is used when. I shoot 5, 1GB cards, so I start with one in the camera and then swap in order. The card safe really holds the cards in place. The trick with it is to use the card comming out of the camera to flip the new card out of the holder.

Wal-mart...of course. Now why haven't I thought of that before now. Thanks DSZE.
I'll go tomorrow. I do like the Hakuba cases as well. I may have to spring for one of those is my wal-mart doesn't have anything I like.

tbfoto, I see that you are from Lafayette. Are you a student? I'm about 20 minutes north of you. ...for $4 or $5, the walmart CF card wallet is worth a try in my opinion. I got mine in an emergency situation, but have decided to keep using it.
