Does the early release of the book, and now a new release tell us that parts of the 5d have been changed? Or was the first just a mishap? or ARE WE JUST DREAMING?!
yeah, I'm sick and tired waiting for the new 5d :P
Tried two 3d's today! Great machine.. Gotta love the viewfinder and the build!

I hope Canon discounts the new camera the way these book sellers are preselling the books.... 40% off. That would be nice.

Why does the annotation section mention the "Canon EOS Rebel XS/1000D Digital Field Guide" when it's for a supposed 5D II?

The book's release date is November 10th...'08. hmm...how can they have a field guide, before a camera is even released/announced/etc.?

As long as the MSRP is < $5,000.

The author could have received a pre-production model and allowed to test it. The camera is most likely going to be announced and released sometime between now and the end of September so that is well before the books release date.

I don't think a lot of people will buy it unless it is at least <$4000.
If I had $5000 I would be spending it on a 1D series camera.

the book itself doesn't say mk2 on the front - only the amazon report of it - obviously a typo:rolleyes:

For me it says "picture not available" . Under "more books" they show the cover for the 5D. Did they have a picture before?
