I like it. I love old, dilappidated (sp?) structures. Very cool.

Yeah, I don't think anybody lives there either, but if it were fixed up it could be pretty cool. Is that building in Israel where you live or somewhere else?

If it were fixed up I don't think it would make as good of a photo. Nicely done!

Too bad that this photograph cannot be viewed in its entirety without scrolling up and down. I would respectfully suggest that next time you size your images so that this is not necessary. Otherwise it appears to be a nice photograph.

You're right. On the other side, smaller sized photograph would show less details - so it's quite a trade-off. Anyway, here is the smaller photo :

Interesting building. :) I'd like to see a more distant shot to see its surroundings if you have one. Other angles too. It's a reinforced concrete structure which has not been maintained (obviously  ) and water penetration into the concrete has caused corrosion of the reinforcing steel which leads to spalling of the concrete. Is it near the shore?

Nice image but appears over-sharpened on my monitor. B&W looks cool in this shot.

Thanks jgbeam !
The building is not near the shore, but the humidity in Tel-Aviv is pretty high throughout the year (about 70% and even 85% sometimes), so yes - the corrosion is pretty bad on that building. The interesting thing is - the surrounding buildings are just normal buildings with people living in them, and only this one is in such bad condition.

Must have been poor quality control during construction for that to happen. :(

Yep, it must be it. In general, I hope that the new buildings here are built for higher standards than the old ones ...

I love the Bauhaus (sp?) style of Tel Aviv. I have seen some of these redone to look amazing.

Nice shot and an interesting subject. :-)

The first one fits on my screen okay (1280 x 1024).

Thanks guys.

P.S. Do you realize that this thread is almost 2-years old ? ;)

Yes, I noticed that. :-D I expect Ceril dragged it up from the deep after a session with the forum search facility. I do that sometimes!
