I thought this station was so generic and plain, that it was actually quite attractive... oh, and long story short... police don't like you taking pictures of their buildings! :eek:

What a strange looking police station.... looks more like a chop shop than a cop shop.
And they even have matching generic police cars.
Hope they weren't so miffed with you that you got to see the inside as well. :wink:

Well, the funny thing is, the Sargeant of the station is my relative, and we had a chat 5 minutes before I did this,and he said it was absolutely fine to take some pictures.
But, either he didn't tell the rest of the officers, or he sent them out on purpose to give me a rough time... but 3 guys in suits, looking like they were part of the Sopranos, walked slowly toward me and gave me a good grilling.

interesting subject and i think the photos are good.
never seen police without the name of the municipality.

Hah looking back, it was pretty funny, especially since I knew I was ok since my relative is in charge at that station.

The 3 cops that interrogated me said there was no reason to photograph such an ugly building, but like you, I've never seen a police station with just POLICE lit up like that. It's really quite a site!

But, either he didn't tell the rest of the officers, or he sent them out on purpose to give me a rough time... but 3 guys in suits, looking like they were part of the Sopranos, walked slowly toward me and gave me a good grilling.

Exactly! It's sooo strange and simple that it's actually quite beautiful... it's like an iStation made by Apple.

Yeah, and you should have seen the 3 big guys that came out of there... totally looked like they belonged in the Sopranos... big guys in nice clothes... and one guy had a fu-manchu moustache.

I too prefer the composition in #1. After looking at them again, one thing I don't like is the apparent "halo" around the right side of the building.

AHAHAHA! The reason for the generic "POLICE" is because they are not actually police...they are MIB!!! LOL

haha nice... reminds me of a police station / local jail in Dunellon, FL that is literally a double wide trailer. So if you're ever stuck in the pokey, your friend can hitch up the 4X4 and tow you to freedom.
