I really like the second shot. The first one is too dark. and maybe its just me. but i might have worked better if you had the whole shot lined up better.

the first shot was kind of spur of the moment, i brightened it up with raw editor but decided it looked better as a silhouette. thanks for the feedback!
i was suprised anyone would like the second one lol

Agreed.

Play with curves to keep the dark but increase the brightness a bit.

2nd one is cool. :)

I did an quick edit of the first one (wish I had the original to work with, but it's only an example :) ).
Played with curves.
Gradient in the sky (taken out of the building using masking)
Warming filter put on (to make it look like sunset a little).

Kept the cool silhouette

NP. There is actually some clouds there I didn't notice till I started mucking around with it.

Give it a go dude. The potential is there for that shot for sure. :)
