Sleeping Hobbes

This is Hobbes, the new orange tabby I got the wife for Christmas. The pic is a bit small but I haven't figured out a way to post bigger pics like the rest of you without losing quality. Don't have any professional software like Photoshop as I am just an amateur without a lot of money to spend on that kind of stuff. Anyone know a good inexpensive software package that can get the file size down, while still maintaining a larger size, better quality image? Thanks. Oh, comments on the pic itself are welcome as well. I took about 16 in a row similar to this, but most others appeared a tad fuzzy when zoomed into 100%.
