After them looking at my portfolio, they want to talk to me. I'll be on the phone with them in an hour.

I'm not sure what to expect at all (which I will ask). But how much should I charge them?

A flat rate? An hour? $50/hr, $100/hr? ++? What is a reasonablle market rate?

I know everything is VERY ambiguous, sorry about that. But this is all the info I have for now.

Show me your pictures and I'll tell you how much you're worth. ;)

Seriously though, listen to their first offer and offer yours.

When discussing price with a brand new client, I would first get an estimate of time, usage of the pictures, and final image format/schedule. After that-I would start by asking them for their budget, and then make adjustments. I personally do commercial work for about $200 an hour, which will force the client to schedule me wisely instead of asking me to hang out all day. BFW might also be able to provide you some sponsorship opportunities if their budget is short of your expectations.
