just out of curiosity,

how many people who run a studio/business would allow a 15 year old to become a second shooter for you?

just interested to see your thoughts :)

Depends on the 15 year old's maturity and ability.. Its a great age to start learning,, just keep an eye on him/her..

BTW,, I started shooting seriously at 17..

As yogestee said - depends on the 15 yo. Some are very mature, others are totally immature.

If they are mature and interested, then thats the perfect combination to learn the ropes

That's sort of what we do here, isn't it? ;)

Depends on what you're shooting! If you were doing weddings or other events where professional conduct is important you'd want someone who you could rely on, showed maturity and some promise as far as ability goes..

Seeing that I am realitively close to the age of 15 (I'm 17) I do know quite a few people that I could see as good candidates as a second shooter. However depending on the event I would be shooting would also determine whether or not I would use the person as a second shooter.

I would, but they would have to show interest in photography and be mature.

Last season I turned over my kit to a 12yo (girl) who who was keen to "have a go" at shooting rugby. 3 months later I was struggling to tell her pics from mine, as were 2 picture eds.
