I have a question-no pictures. Some of the wedding shots I see are taken obviously in Non-wedding venues...are these done at a later time with the bride and groom in their wedding clothes? When would you have time to do these before or after a wedding with reception, prep, etc. And after the reception, don't the couple leave for their honeymoon? If you shoot them before the wedding, the groom gets to see the wedding dress. Just curious.

At my wedding, and most weddings, we did the pictures between the ceremony and the reception. Usually they are not right on top of each other.
This gives the wedding party a chance to go do pictures and the guest can relax, and do whatever they want. At this time cocktails are also served for the guests, or coffee and tea depending on the time of the wedding.

Sometimes people have time to take the B&G elsewhere to shoot. Sometimes the shoots are done the day after the wedding.. It all depends. :)

I have a wedding in Nov. this year. The bride has hired a bus to take myself, the entire wedding party, and all the other people she wants shot, around to the locations she has chosen ahead of time.

Every wedding that I've been to recently (including my own) pics were done after ceremony and before reception. Theres usually some formal shots done with the family in the church/wherever ceremony is done, then bridal party and whoever wants to come to the park (or wherever) for an hour or so before heading off to the reception. This allows the guests to have time to travel to the place the reception is at, have a drink and get comfortable.
