I seem to remember reading these are not compatible with EOS digital. I have these as a carry over from my old film EOS300 (Rebel 2000) and 380EX when I used it to get the flash off the camera for macro stuff.

Any idea why they don't work with the digital bodies? Is it because they are only good for TTL and the digital bodies only do E-TTL?

Guess its time to eBay 'em if that's the case ...

Only the Canon Off The Shoe Cord 2 will work in ETTL. It probably has to do with the number of wires/contacts in the cord.

I do not think you need to rush to ebay. I purchased a connecting cord and shutter release for my old A2. When I upgraded to EOS-3 I was able to purchase and adapter cord (about 12" long) that conneted to the threads on the old cord and plugged into the push connector on the EOS-3. I now use that same set up with my Canon 10D. Works great.

Hi folks, I have the same 3 pieces of kit for my 20D as I did not see anything on the sites I purchased them from to say they were not compatible.
Can you please tell me the part number for the 12" adapter cord you mentioned and show how I can get it to work with my kit?
