has anyone ever used or heard of the Opus OPL-M1002 kit? Looks like a decent little kit and its really cheap for what you get, which is kinda throwing me off right now. They have a youtube video about it and the guy who made it is the one using it.

So these are the ones that stay on and when you take a pic they get brighter right? just getting into studio lights and such.

Continuous lights stay at the same power through the exposure.
Hotshoe flashes produce no light until you press the shutter
You are thinking of studio strobes, which have a modeling lamp which is just a normal light bulb, and then when you press the shutter the strobe goes off.
