In continuation with my daily walk & shoots I was pulled over by cops and the brought backup!! I had three officers question me about what I was doing. I told them I'm shooting on public property of things I see when walking. They said someone was complaining about me taking pictures, they scrolled through all my photos and then let me go.
Anyway, I brought the macro lens out today and got a chance to excerise it enjoy!

Again, a really nice series. I like your style. Pity it was ruined by some selfish complainers and over-zealous police officers.

I like what I see..
Shot 8 is especially great.
Also, next time the cops harass you... tell them you know your rights. If you are on public property they can't do anything to do. They also have no right to go through your photos or even as much as touch you or your camera.

Okay, so I hate selective coloring, but if that chair in #2 were in color (or muted color) and they mailbox said "Architects" like #3....wow.
Very nice work!

You are truly talented. Thank you for not allowing them to scare you away from exploring... I really enjoy your work.

Thank you for your encouragement Yiskah, I know my rights as a photog and I would definately make sure I don't overstep my bounds when shooting.

The new official shirt of PotN street photographers everywhere!
Good for you for knowing your rights. I'm not sure I would let them scroll through the camera but I guess it depends on the cop's approach. Here in BC they are generally much friendlier and not so on-edge compared to those I've encountered in the US.

I would think after the third time, harassment charges might be warranted.

But he could be a terrorist, a member of a sleeper cell plotting to blow up Buick Centuries, rusty mailboxes, and free grandma-print armchairs everywhere.

Next time they ask to see your camera ask to see their firearm. If they can inspect the tool you use to do your job, why can't you do the same? They'll never agree but it may make them think a little more.

Now I'm not saying that particular chair should be spared from some explosive device, but seriously... nice series.

Yea I didn't really argue with the cops because I didn't want to waste my time. I figure I'd just let them look through my photos real quick and that was that. I actually held the camera and scrolled through for them. They were nice about it, so I didn't want to provoke anything.
Thanks for all the comments guys!!

That's the best, you don't want to piss off the cops, they are always right at the moment. Do what they say and take it to court later.

Nice! I like your style, though I can't name it! :P
Anyways, I really like the first one! Perfect in color, DOF and sharpness. Except the background which is a bit distracting.
Then #3, great in color and DOF!
I like 'em!
