Good God, 5,000/10,000!
CDS, 3 feet of snow, stay warm and safe. Should be pretty in the morning though.

Yep, catching Belomondo was easy. :-)
Now I have to catch Marie and CDS.... Geez, wish me luck....

Yeah, let's see a new signature, "Marie's going down."
Not so cocky anymore, are you?
Now go shovel your driveway. :p

ROFLMAO!! Tom, you kill me.
Besides, I like my current sig. It has the words "chocolate" and "poutine" in it, so it's got to be good, and it's a quote from you. I chuckle every time I see one of my posts.
Besides, I still have to catch you, and pass you. That could still take a week, or even two if you go on a "Nice Shot!" posting binge.
As to shoveling the driveway... This isn't going to happen. I can't get out the back door since the snow has drifted up to the door's window. I can't see my neighbor's house right now through the snow. I can see what must be 5' drifts and the news says 21" so far and it still has 7-8 hours to go.

Err, Scott. I hate to tell you this but 5093 is still greater than 5017. You haven't caught up with Tom, yet. He may be a big target  but he's a moving target! :D
Tom, better hustle. There's a wolf on your tail.

I think Scott's achievement is noteworthy in a number of areas, especially when compared with the three people who are currently ahead of him in post count.
He has done it:
1. Without use of the Sanskrit keyboard.
2. Without liberal application of smiley faces.
3. Without mind-numbing stories of life in the desert.
He has maintained generally high standards of grammar, vocabulary, and typing accuracy. He is witty, articulate, and helpful.
In general, he's a total pain in the [***TEXT DELETED BY MODERATOR***]

Say, just how does one get into this posting race anyway?
Can I transfer posts in from other places?

I'm going to stop posting now, before I manage to screw up this reputation. It's the only good reputation I have, so I should keep it that way.
Nah.

Just track all their posts. It's a very sad affair. And all of us hear have been enduring it for months and months.
;) j/k of course...

Not with his attitude. I bribed a mederator to start deleting his posts. He'll never see 4,000.

You know Scottes, since your post count rival has "moderator powers", I'm sure he has access to some numbers somewhere...... u sure it's a clean race? :-P

It that was possible, I'd have more posts than Marie. CDS and I would be in a dead heat.

I've been convinced for some time that Tom randomly deletes my posts. I mean, I write something, and move on. I come back later and my post isn't there.
It's highly unlikely that I'd do something stupid like forget to hit the "Submit" button....
Constantly.

I am so pleased to hear I'm not the only one suffering from the occasional brain fart. I have a habit of previewing many of my messages before I post them. Somehow, I often manage to forget to hit submit after I do that.

I'm truly amazed by my constant ability to do this. Some days I do it 2 or 3 times.
Heck, for all I know it could be 6 or 7 times a day.
(In fact, I typed the above 2 hours ago, but just now got back to hit Submit...)

What I find fascinating about your race for top poster, is so far I have been on the forum longer then anybody else posted in this thread and I am just trying to get to 1000 so I can become a senior member. Maybe I take too many pictures. I should obviously stop that and post more often on the forum. 8)
But even after all this time, I just know that I am really glad I am not a moderator, that would be way too much work.
You all keep on posting away.
BTW: I would like to thank Pekka for hosting the venue, without which it would not be possible for this exciting and obviously important race. :) :) :D

I detect a note of sarcasm.
They laughed at Columbus, too.

If I had a dollar for every post I made I'd have a new 500mm f/4.
If I had a dollar for every useful post I made I'd have a new lens cap.
