I've been trying to learn more about Photoshop Raw Converter, and tonight played around with the R/C Chromatic Aberration correction. This aberration appears as blue or red fringes on high contrast regions. On the boat photo below, there is a small chunk of wood on the bow which I used to adjust the aberration.

A 400% crop shows the aberration on the left, and correction on the right. Curious to see of the photo looks any different when printed.

I made a little tutorial of sorts on how to fix CA with ACR. It's here: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=48830

I don't know if you will help you so much since you seem to know how to run it already. But others who read this might find it useful.

There's also a recent thread below on Purple Fringing and actions/methods to remove it in PS. That thread is here: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=54571

I used to get blue/purple fringing on the Canon D30 with the 75-300mm EF lens. I have many egrets that are properly exposed and have a very pronounced CA outline.

Cheers,

Mitch
