Helping out a frat member with his wedding. Any tips you may have for me? I have a 40D with a 50mm 1.8 and a 25-135 IS 3.5.

Not getting paid but I want to get the best results :D

Get a good flash, shoot in RAW.

If you can, you might want to get a zoom with 2.8 aperture (such as a 18-50mm or something similar). The 50mm 1.8 will work but if you are in a church you don't exactly have total freedom of where you can stand for shots.

Bring lots of memory, I used 6 gigs (600shots) at the wedding I shot, and I could have shot more. Bring backup batteries.

Buy a 580EXII, and learn how to use it.....quickly..... ;)

If you are indoors, your shots will look like cheesy point and shoot shots if you are only using the pop-up flash. Use of pop-up flash shall be a felony when one is the designated wedding photographer
