just to update my story... CANON had a xmas party & launching of the 20D & 300D black in my area early december 2004... officials with their technicians from the main branch was there...still they couldnt upgrade my camera to 1.05! their only option was to have my camera serviced in singapore...i refused for the mean time as i had shoots to do in the next coming days and 1.04 was working fine anyways. and it is xmas season plus newyear fireworks will be awsome to capture:)

regarding the frame problem still no solution...basically they had no comment.
then by January (in time for the festival), heres where the story got intresting in both good and bad ways.
GOOD: Canon Philippines showed their full support with little persistence on my end. Very Professional...kudos to the team of leslie, nelson, bernie, tiff, etc. They gave me the chance to use a full framed 1Ds MarkII...which was perfect paired with the 12-24 sigma ex and 70-300DO for the mardi gras.
BAD: My camera went from worst to terrible. In late Decemeber 2004 i started noticing a dramatic decline in battery performance. down to about 250 shoots with 2 batteries in the grip. by new year one of my cells died. as in dead in 30secs from powerup of the camera at full charge. one batt could handle around 150 shoots. by January 2005 i opened up a brand new BP511A original battery...performace was good for bout 2 days till i started noticing battery life was again very poor. 100-200 shoots drain already with 2 battery using the grip. and finaly 2 days before the big festival, camera would shutdown in 30sec. to 5mins.
good thing Canon was one of the sponsors for the mardi gras as they were again around.
having showed them the condition of my 20D, they had me use the CANON 1Ds MarkII which is not even out in our country yet! wow...that really surpised me!
i got the 1Ds MarkII just 9 hours before the start of the mardi gras...so little time to learn it but i loved it...whats not to love about it except that it wasnt really mine right!:)
anyways, im still without my 20D for a full week now...canon took back the 1Ds MarkII coz they will use it for the launching nxt week. but they left me with a service unit 20D...still a very good deal. Wonderful service from canon philippines...made me never regret getting a CANON DSLR!
