Just wondering if anyone had photographed sunrises and sunsets from an aircraft.
Here is some of mine. Look forward to seeing some of the forums work.

That's sharp...
How did you manage to capture the sharp shot of the engine?

Nice shots AirEOS. I haven't had the opportunity to fly the 777 yet.
This one was taken many years ago at a small airline that I worked for. I had the opportunity to do some air to air work for them. This is a Dash 8-100 we were chasing in a Navaho.

that shot of the engine is damn near perfect...
the window frame in the bottom right corner almost kills it, but i think the sharpness and color make up for it, great shot!

Thanks all, yeah it got rejected from the Airliners.net d/b for the window frame but i have a few others on a.net that have the window frame in them.
Ssim, the 777 is a fantastic a/c. I have flown on it many times and had the chance to clock up 12hours 777 Sim time. Its a beautiful machine...And i have a photo of a friend standing in the engine showning the huge size of it...and its one awesome a/c to walk around.
I have a many shots here if you care to take a look:

http://www.airliners.net/open.file/688271/L/ (Wing Sunset)
My best aviation shots can be seen here, 160 of about 3000 i have taken.

I was using a mates Sony DSC 828 (8mp) camera for the 1 day trip up and back. And there was little editing done for those shots.
Hope you enjoy the links. Cheers Rhys....That dash 8 air2air is fantastic...

Well mine aren't as good as others here but I'm proud of them. Sunrise, shot from the window of a 747 en route from SFO to MEL somewhere near Fiji. Canon G2. 400 ISO. Don't think very clearly when I'm flying. Just as well that I'm not in the front seat.

Geecee, i like the first shot.
CRJ700 Capt... Not a bad A.c thats CRJs. Are you thinking of doing International out of the US...Love the Sunrise or sunset shot out over the cockpit. I have a few from the 744 of them.
Some great shots on your site. Do you upload them to Airliners.net at all. Some other airline pilots post a few cockpit shots that are amazing.
Look forward to seeing some more aviation images.
Cheers AirEOS

CRJ700Captain, there are some beautiful sunsets and cloud formations you have in your gallery.
It's great that you can photograph these things from a perspective that us normally ground-based folk don't usually get to see :-).

Well Dave. Out of all pics in this thread, I reckon they would take 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at least.
