Hi Everybody!
I’m not sure if I’m in the right section of the forum but I have questionJ
I’m currently working on a presentation of my pictures and pretty much, I don’t have a program in my computer. I use Windows and I can’t find the right tool. I’m working on Windows Movie Maker but I can’t type a caption on the pictures…
My idea to this presentation is pretty much putting a caption to each picture, a nice transition on each and also I’m adding music.
Any suggestions what "free" program should I use?
Thanks!

Spend $100 on Proshow Gold from www.photodex.com if you want to do it quickly and easily. I'm not aware of anything free.

I have used ProShow Gold for a year now. It will cover everything that you need to do and more. They have also recently came out with a book The Official Photodex Guide to ProShow. It's available on their site but I found it cheaper at Borders. I found it to be an excellent reference.

Mike,
I looked at the table of contents (http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/1598634089/ref=sib_dp_pop_toc?ie=UTF8&p=S008#reader-link) for the book. Is it mostly for "Producer" applications or is "gold" version the focus of the book?

A free option worth looking at is Microsoft's Photo Story 3. It may be able to do what you're after, including captions, transitions, and music (can even generate 'mood' music for you.) To get to DVD, you would output the video file, then use a DVD maker (Windows DVD maker?) to burn it to disk.
