Just playing around today with my stepdaughter's new engagement ring. I was wondering if this looks any good. She wasn't dressed for the occasion, nor had she done her nails. :)

For me, the composition lets it down as the eye is drawn more to the face than the ring itself and also the arm position and difference in tone almost suggests it doesn''t belong to the girl in the background.

I would reposition the ring off-centre and either include the elbow or do something to reduce the over-exposure on the arm ..... or both !

I agree with Paul, it seems as if it's someone else's arm and she looks too posed...
but it's an awesome try... I think ring shots are soo incredibly hard to do!

Thanks guys, I've never done this kind of shot before. . . still learning. I appreciate all of your comments.

It really was her arm. She just took her watch off for the previous shot.
