i tried a search for this question and came up with nothing, my apologies if it's been asked and answered before.

i want to start doing photography professionally, would one of those legal services where you pay monthly and go to them at any time for them to look over a contract suffice?

i'm wondering this simply because i'm not sure if every contract you draft needs to be looked over by an attorney or if you can just have them look over your first one and reproduce that same one for any photoshoots after that one...

I would only have them look at my contract once, it shouldn't change.

I had my attorney review all the terms and conditions, usage agreements, licensing, and releases. The terms and conditions, and the licensing and usage agreements are written such that I can include or delete sections of them as needed without needing a review. That way I can customize my contracts for each client and market, and know they are still legally sound.

The only times I need my contracts reviewed are when I am asked to sign NDA's, accept the clients contracts (mostly with editorial clients), or the project is complicated and needs new terms or conditions. Generally, the 'cut and paste' segments of the contracts I have now server 95% of my work.

If you do go to an attorney, think ahead about different markets and clients, conditions, etc, have have it all done at once. Then use those to build a few template contracts for each market, and modify as needed.
