I am using CS3 and NORMALLY when I plug up my memory card into the computer to download the images, I usually select from a box that automatically pops up on the screen to download them in Bridge. Well now for some reason, I don't have that option. I have to manually go to my computer, and find my card reader and download them that way. Is there anything I can do to fix it back to opening up bridge automatically??
Thanks for any info.

What OS?
There is an option somewhere where you can set what happens if a CF card is inserted.
No idea about windows, but on OSX you can go Applications > Image Capture > preferences. ("When a camera is connected, open: ...")

If you're used to seeing a dialog box when downloading photos presumably you're using a Windows computer. The dialog box that shows the various download options is controlled by the Autoplay Events function. I'm guessing that you mistakenly clicked the "Always perform this function" option which is why the dialog box is no longer showing.
There are several options that involve editing the Windows Registry to regain the functionality but I'm not comfortable suggesting them unless you really know what you're doing. You can also plug your card into the card reader, then open Adobe Bridge. In the File menu you can click Get Photos from Camera which activates the downloader function in Adobe Bridge.

No I am NOT comfortable messing around with the registry, but what you described is exactly what is happening. Is there not a "safer" way to get it back?? Thanks for taking time out to answer. I appreciate it.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? When I switch profiles on the computer to my kids profile, I can plug up my card reader and the box appears and I can upload them that way BUT when I open CS3 none of my actions or anything are there, so I can't work in it. Is there anything I can do?

Workaround: Try Image Ingester (http://imageingester.com/).
Or save your actions, and reload them into PS on your kids profile. Probably a permissions thing.
Or, get the thing to work like id used to.
Have a look here (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc301341.aspx) (about halfway down the page)
Once a default application has been selected, that preference can be changed by clicking a small icon that appears in the taskbar notification area when the device is connected
