image recovery IXUS 300 without card reader!!!

Hi all!
Is there a possibility to recover images after they have been deleted and no images were made after that? The problem is that i do not have a card reader and images MUST be recovered quickly!!!! I have got Digital IXUS 300 !
Please help!
Is there a driver for this camera to see it as a disk in a WinXP or Linux system???

You're going to need a card reader, and file recovery software. You've done everything right so far by not using the card after you discovered the files were lost. Card readers are very inexpensive, and they make picture transfer much faster than going through the camera.

If you're comfortable with Linux, you might try mounting it as you would any other USB drive. You may need to be in P2P mode on it. I don't have that camera, so can't say whether it has/needs that setting.
