Pricing for Web use - Help

Hi All,

I have read through the thread in regards to pricing and it made my head hurt a little and i need a bit more help.

I've been asked to become a supplier for a top travel website in the UK, and i've been asked how much i charge for my photos, usually i'm told how much they'll pay me, so i need a little help to try and figure how much to charge per image.

Details
The Website is in the UK so it will be in GBP£££
Approx unique users 200,000 per day
Image sizes - 800px
- 500px
- 300px
- 160px

Question, how will you be credited for these? Also, will you be selling them on for full ownership to the company?

If it is per pageview, I would say 15p. Would be quite a bit of money. :lol:

I would be credited by name. The images would still remain my property, they wouldn't have exclusive use. It'd be thinking a onw of fee for a certain time frame.

In that case, I would put up a negotiable offer of £2,500 for a 6 month "lease" of the image. Personally, if they go down to £1,500-£2,000, I would be happy.

cheers dude. I've checked a couple of Stock agencys and they seam to be quoting per image about £400 for 6months usage for web use.

I know that this company already uses stock agencys so i guess i need to be price compeditive.

If your photos are things they can't get from stock, then the high price is justified. Else, start at the stock price and try to keep it within 25-30% discount off the stock site prices (generally what the sites would claim as a service fee)
