New 300D user-Random Pictures

Hey everyone. Ive been on this forum for not to long and just recently got my 300D for Christmas. I am still learning of course, and this is my first DSLR camera. I still dont understand alot about these cameras and different lenses and all (maybe some suggestions for sites explain alot? :)) but its all in time that i learn more! I thought i would post some of my stuff i have taken in the past few weeks for you guys to see and critique so that i can improve! My camera right now is back at the Canon Service Center to get fixed because it has 2 dead pixels (a red and blue one) so hopefully it will come back 100% and i can get some money to put into lenses and other accessories.

So here are some pictures i have taken...PLEASE feel free to tell me whats wrong with them. They all have minor photoshop work done, mostly auto levels and contrast, and unsharp mask.

Sorry they arent really in any order :P but yeah...there are some of the pics i have taken. I have taken about 2000 images, but since this is the Nature & Animal forum, i limited it up :lol:

All taken with the 18-55 kit lens and are all in either Av or Tv mode.

All comments are fine, idc what u say.

These photos are extremely brilliant in colour, sharpness and composition. You certainly know your camera, and have an eye for composition.

I am actually very surprised with the quality and sharpness of these photos using the kit lens. I have a kit lens, and I cannot achieve such results. What's your secret?

im hopeing i can get a new lens soon, just a nice upgrade for everyday use.
