question about photo release

I am NOT a professional, but I took some photos of a friend's newborn for her. She in turn sent them to a company that makes birth announcements and they said they need a letter from the photographer saying that the photos can be reproduced. What exactly should the letter say?

Just that you giver permission for the photos to be reproduced for use on the birth announcement only. The printer is doing the right thing.
