View Full Version : New To Photography - How do I resize photos in iPhoto?

A few months ago a bought a Mac and a Canon XTI and I love both, but iphoto that comes with the Mac will not allow me to resize the pics, at least I can't figure it out!! when I try to upload pics here, its said my pic is to large. Help!!!!! Ty Gary

Welcome to the forums!!!!
Not sure about the answer since I do not use Iphotos, but you will get an answer faster if you post your question in the post processing forum, and use a title such as "Trouble resizing in iphotos". Those who know will flock to your thread.

Welcome! In iphoto go to the edit button then crop--- then click the size or shape you would like. Then upload the photo to something like photobucket.com to share with the forum etc.

Thanks so much for the help!!. I guess my other question, for me to upload pic here on this forum, I would have to use photobucket or can I just upload from my Mac.. sorry to sound so stupid....

photobucket would be the easiest option for you. You may upload directly to POTN, but there's a 150kb limit (which can be a fiddle to achieve sometimes).
My advice would be to start with photobucket, and use the [IMG] tags to link your shots. (the link I upplied will give you more information about how to do this).
